St. Andrew's, Sadberge

A village church at the heart of its community, offering a warm welcome to all. The church contains some interesting examples of contemporary lettering and calligraphy. Contemporary embroidery can be seen by appointment only.

The church stands on the site of an old Saxon castle and the village has a fascinating history as the centre of Saxon administration between the Tees and the Tyne - the "Manor and Wapentake of Sadberge".
