General Election Hustings

Churches Together have arranged a Hustings on Monday 2 December, at 7:00 pm.

The public meeting will be held in Northgate church, DL1 1QU (corner of Northgate and Chesnut Street)

The equivalent meeting for the last general election was well-attended and informative for those attending. This is an opportunity to get to know the candidates away from the spin of press-releases and to ask your own questions.

In common with the last several general elections, we have produced a booklet of interest to electors and candidates, with a series of questions, addressing the major policy points affecting the town.

The booklets were given to candidates on Thursday 14 November, (see here) to enable them to provide written responses in advance of the hustings and enable prior consideration by electors.

We look forward to a busy meeting, with lots of questions to the panel of candidates.
